Christian Leadership Grants
Seminary Student Scholarships
Grants continue the financial assistance program established many years ago by Second Presbyterian Church for approved members that attend seminary and agree to serve in some form of full time Christian ministry for at least two years after graduation.
Pastoral Internship Program
Grant allows Second Presbyterian Church to produce well-qualified and trained M Div graduating seniors as candidates for the pastoral ministry through church-based mentoring and instruction in practical theology and ministry.
Youth Internship Program
Grant allows Second Presbyterian Church to produce two-year well trained youth leaders with the goal of pursuing and equipping them for youth ministry and send them out to other churches and organizations.
Music Ministry Internship Program
Grant allows Second Presbyterian Church to provide internships for future music worship leaders.
Memphis Fellows Program
Grant to provide scholarships for this program which promotes the relevance of the Church to a generation of emerging leaders and instructs how our faith informs our work.
Memphis Center for Urban Theological Studies (MCUTS)
Grant to begin a program in Memphis to equip inner-city pastors and non-ordained persons to proclaim the Gospel. Grant to improve and enhance the undergraduate and master’s level programs by the addition of a full-time director. Grant to fund a student recruiter. Grant to evaluate, revise, and rewrite Biblical curriculum to contextualize for urban ministry. Grant to provide transition to affiliation with Lancaster Bible College.
Grant to equip the next, emerging generation of community leaders in Memphis through proven mentor coaching and teaching. A partnership of Second Presbyterian Church and MPACT Memphis, funds are used for teaching sessions by local and national leaders, recruiting events, alumni communication, technological advancements and operational costs.
Binghampton Christian Academy
Grants provide for qualified graduates of Binghampton Christian Academy to attend secondary Christian schools such as Evangelical Christian School and French Camp Academy.
Presbyterian Day School
Grants provide for qualified sons of members of Second Presbyterian Church to attend PDS.
Grants provide for qualified young boys in the greater Memphis area to attend PDS through its Young Scholars Program.
Children’s Music Ministry
Grant provides support for Second Presbyterian Church’s children’s music education program.
Grants benefit the Second Presbyterian Church Library.
