MEMPHIS CITY SEMINARY

Grants for initial startup costs for the establishment of the seminary.

Seminary Student Scholarships

Grants continue the financial assistance program established many years ago by Second Presbyterian Church for approved members that attend seminary and agree to serve in some form of full time Christian ministry for at least two years after graduation.

Pastoral Internship Program

Grants allow Second Presbyterian Church to produce well-qualified and trained M.Div. graduating seniors as candidates for the pastoral ministry through church-based mentoring and instruction in practical theology and ministry.

Youth Internship Program

Grants allow Second Presbyterian Church to produce two-year well trained youth leaders with the goal of pursuing and equipping them for youth ministry and send them out to other churches and organizations.

Music Ministry Internship Program

Grants allow Second Presbyterian Church to provide internships for future music worship leaders.

Memphis Fellows Program

Grants to provide scholarships and special programmatic needs for this program which promotes the relevance of the Church to a generation of emerging leaders and instructs how our faith informs our work.

The Fellows initiative

Grant to develop both formal courses and roundtable curriculum that serves both existing and new Fellows programs and which also enables the launch of more Fellows programs in more churches nationwide, resulting in more Fellows being trained in this effective ministry model.

The Gospel Coalition                         

Grant is to provide for the successful launch of the Carson Center for Theological Renewal, which has the potential to revolutionize theological education and pastoral ministry on a global scale by creating accessible and culturally adaptable resources.

OASIS Ministry

Grants launch the organization and equipping of this ministry home, including counseling services and resources unique to this type of ministry, which offers vocational Christian workers a nurturing environment for personal refreshment and renewal.

Memphis Center for Urban Theological Studies (MCUTS)

Grants to begin a program in Memphis to equip inner-city pastors and non-ordained persons to proclaim the Gospel. Grants to improve and enhance the undergraduate and master's level programs by the addition of a full-time director. Grants to fund a student recruiter. Grants to evaluate, revise, and rewrite Biblical curriculum contextualized for urban ministry. Grants to provide transition to affiliation with Lancaster Bible College.

NEXUS

Grants to equip the next, emerging generation of community leaders in Memphis through proven mentor coaching and teaching. A partnership of Second Presbyterian Church and MPACT Memphis, funds are used for teaching sessions by local and national leaders, recruiting events, alumni communication, technological advancements and operational costs.

Scholarships

Binghampton Christian Academy
Grants provide for qualified graduates of Binghampton Christian Academy to attend secondary Christian schools such as Evangelical Christian School and French Camp Academy.

Presbyterian Day School
Grants provide for qualified sons of members of Second Presbyterian Church to attend PDS.

Grants provide for qualified young boys in the greater Memphis area to attend PDS through its Young Scholars Program.

Second Presbyterian Church Conservatory of Music
Scholarships for students to have access to lessons.

Downline Ministries
Partial scholarships for participants involved in the Emerging Leaders Program.

Visible Music College 
Grant is provide scholarships for students enrolled at Visible Music College. 

Children’s Music Ministry

Grants provide support for Second Presbyterian Church's children's music education program.

Church Library

Grants benefit the Second Presbyterian Church Library.
